Overview

 

EXPLEO USA is looking for a Stress Engineer to join a dynamic and expanding team in the Wichita, KS.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform structural and stress analysis activities to support aircraft design, development, certification, and production initiatives.
  • Support production and in-service engineering activities by providing timely technical solutions.
  • Conduct detailed stress analysis and substantiation of aircraft structures and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, manufacturing, and customer stakeholders.
  • Support engineering investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to structural issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace standards, customer requirements, and certification regulations.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, technical documentation, and certification data.
  • Support design changes and engineering releases throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide recommendations to improve product performance and manufacturability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Stress Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft structures, stress analysis methodologies, and aerospace engineering principles.
  • Experience supporting aircraft production and manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • 7+ years’ experience working on Boeing aircraft programs.
  • Knowledge of Boeing tools, processes, and engineering methods.
  • Fuselage engineering experience, with B737 experience considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience with floor structure analysis and design preferred.
  • Production support engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural substantiation methods.
  • F&DT (Fatigue & Damage Tolerance) analysis experience is a plus but not required.
