The Design Engineer will apply knowledge of engineering principles, design methodologies, industry practices, and standards to deliver high‑quality aerospace design solutions while assuring procedural and configuration‑control compliance within assigned engineering project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Create solid models in CATIA V5 for aerospace components
  • Generate detailed drawing packages and layouts
  • Perform model release activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Check and review drawing packages and layouts
  • Coordinate with Integrated Product Team (IPT) members to resolve design issues
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing work assignments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural, or closely related field)
  • Engineering degree must be ABET-accredited and recognized under the Washington Accord
  • 10+ years of aerospace engineering experience (Boeing product experience strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of defense experience
  • Expertise in structural and mechanical design for aerospace applications
  • Experience with Boeing Defense design standards, templates, and release processes
  • Proficiency with CATIA V5 and related CAD tools
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and aerospace standards
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
  • Proven background working with primary and secondary structural designs on defense or military aircraft
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
