EXPLEO GROUP USA is looking for an Interior Product Design Engineer to join a dynamic and expanding team in Troy, Michigan.

Responsibilities:

• Working with brand planning and strategy teams on new feature ideas.

• Initial design and feasibility studies with Interior Product teams, Vehicle Integration, and Product Design Office.

• Create Source Package documents.

• Support Mopar Purchasing to review technical submissions from suppliers and select a supplier.

• Support component supplier development activities as needed.

• Lead vehicle test and validation based on vehicle and component DVP validation.

• Host weekly engineering development meetings with suppliers and Mopar team members.

• Track and manage suspension kit timing for on-time launch.

• Manage and track releases and changes of vehicle interior systems and body components.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of plastic injection molded parts – part design, manufacturing process, and material selection is a plus.
• Knowledge of soft trim cut-and-sew materials and processes is a plus.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree required.
