We are seeking a certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to join our customer line support team within a high-volume commercial aircraft final assembly operation. This role is pivotal in ensuring aircraft are fully compliant with all regulatory, engineering, and customer requirements prior to delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aircraft systems, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft Inspection and Maintenance: Perform thorough inspections and maintenance tasks on airframe and powerplant systems during the final assembly and pre-delivery phases, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and specifications.

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and rectify discrepancies identified during functional tests, customer inspections, or flight operations, ensuring timely resolution to maintain delivery schedules.

  • Customer Interaction: Collaborate directly with customer representatives during acceptance processes, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the aircraft's condition and performance.

  • Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance actions, inspections, and repairs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.

  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to facilitate seamless integration of maintenance activities within the overall assembly process.

  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. (Required)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a focus on commercial aircraft final assembly or delivery support preferred. (Required)
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including avionics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and propulsion systems. (Required)
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and implement effective solutions under tight deadlines. (Required)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members. (Required)
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required to meet delivery timelines. (Required)
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and perform tasks in confined spaces as necessary. (Required)
  • Aircraft Experience: Familiarity with narrow-body and regional jet aircraft platforms. (Preferred)
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with maintenance tracking and documentation systems such as SAP, AMOS, or similar platforms. (Preferred)
  • Additional Certifications: Possession of additional certifications relevant to aircraft maintenance and inspection. (Preferred)
